Case Study: Project 1
Chelsea, London.
At “Your Best Room” we were tasked with creating a bathroom that gave a clear crisp finish and an intelligent lighting system.
Upon our initial survey I noticed that there was a lot of exposed pipework that could be seen and looked quite unsightly. Our client requested that we try to hide all this pipework and box in the soil pipe.
The first job was to strip out the existing bathroom and remove all the original tiles. The problem faced when removing tiles is that you never know what state the wall will be in underneath, on this occasion the walls were really bad and needed to be plaster skimmed in order to be re-tiled.
The next step was to chase out the walls and re-route all the new pipework. At this time we have the chance to install electrical cables for lights, shaver points and decorative mirrors.
Our plasterer then skimmed all the walls to a smooth finish ready for our team of installers to return to fix all the sanitaryware in place.
When all the sanitaryware is in place our tiler is ready to start installing. When the tiles hit the wall a transformation takes place and the whole area starts to look like a bathroom again. After the tiling we can then start to put all the finishing touches into the bathroom. This will include shower screens; towel warmers, mirrors and all other decorative items that really make your bathroom feel something special.
Once the decorator has finished the floor can be laid to give the bathroom a real ‘WOW’ factor.
